Mission and terrain
Define route length, speed, slope, obstacles, inspection stops and recovery reserve.
INSPECTION ROBOT BATTERY SYSTEMS
Stellova develops industrial inspection robot battery systems and each custom robot battery pack around traction, sensing, computing, communications, mission duration, docking strategy and environmental exposure.
INSPECTION MISSION REQUIREMENTS
Traction, climbing, cameras, LiDAR, lighting, compute and communication create different loads over a long inspection route. The pack must preserve reserve energy for safe recovery and fault handling.
BATTERY DEFINITION INPUTS
Representative routes, load profiles and environmental limits are sufficient for the first engineering review.
Define route length, speed, slope, obstacles, inspection stops and recovery reserve.
Provide continuous demand and short climbing or obstacle-crossing peaks with duration.
Specify dust, rain, condensation, temperature, storage and low-temperature charging conditions.
Define SOC, SOH, cell voltage, temperature, fault reporting and CAN or serial communication.
ALL-WEATHER INSPECTION ENGINEERING
Electrical architecture, enclosure protection, low-temperature strategy, thermal control and remote diagnostics must support the same field mission.
Define charging and discharging limits separately; low-temperature heating is evaluated only when required.
Coordinate the pack enclosure with the robot enclosure, connectors, vents, drainage and service access.
State current, duration, repetition and thermal condition for slope and obstacle events.
Plan fault logging, remote diagnostics, maintenance access and recovery behavior for unattended missions.
TYPICAL CONFIGURATION PLATFORMS
The two platforms below are typical engineering configurations, not claims of completed customer projects. The 48 V and 51.2 V systems remain separate because their charging limits and system voltages differ.
INSPECTION ROBOT BATTERY FAQ
The final answers depend on terrain, mission duration, environment, payload and recovery strategy.
No. They are two separate typical engineering platforms used to frame requirements and must be validated for the target robot.
They have different nominal and charging voltages and must not be presented as interchangeable versions of one approved pack.
Current, pulse duration, repetition, conductor size, connector and thermal conditions must be stated and tested.
Yes, after the required charging and operating temperatures, available energy and control logic are defined.
