Custom Farm Robot Battery Solutions

Stellova develops farm automation battery pack systems and custom agriculture robot battery solutions around traction, actuator, sensing and communication loads, field duty cycles, charging access, environmental exposure and available installation space.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Traction, Implements and Field Conditions Define the Battery

Farm robots combine mobility with task-specific implements such as cutters, sprayers, conveyors or manipulators. Terrain, soil and payload create variable loads that must be captured from real work cycles.

WHAT TO DEFINE

Inputs for the First Farm Robot Battery Review

Early estimates are acceptable. Missing values can be refined through the requirements process.

01

Operating workflow

Startup, travel, turning, implement operation, stops, communications, docking or battery exchange and end-of-shift charging.

02

Electrical loads

Traction and steering motors, implements, pumps, actuators, sensors, computing and communications.

03

Autonomy and charging

Target hectares or hours, terrain, payload, task intensity, charging opportunities, swap strategy and reserve.

04

Integration and environment

Battery bay, connector, locking, cooling, ground clearance, dust, mud, water, vibration, temperature and washdown.

ENGINEERING CONSIDERATIONS

Mobility and Implement Loads Must Be Profiled as One Mission

Average traction power alone misses turns, soft soil, slopes, implement engagement and recovery events that determine peak current and thermal load.

01

Energy model

Build usable energy from the complete operating sequence, duty cycle and reserve.

02

Peak-event verification

Define acceleration, turning, slope climbing, soft-soil recovery and implement or pump startup with current, duration, recovery and temperature rise.

03

System coordination

Coordinate the battery, BMS, charger, host controls and controlled shutdown or fault response.

04

Environmental boundary

Validate dust, mud, water, vibration, heat, cold, chemicals and washdown before assigning operating limits.

PROJECT-SPECIFIC BATTERY DEFINITION

Parameters Defined From the Farm Robot Operating Profile

No fixed reference configuration is published yet. Voltage, capacity, continuous and peak current, charging, BMS logic, communication, protection rating and mechanical interfaces can be customized for the target equipment. Final specifications are subject to the approved project definition.

Project parameterHow it is defined
System voltage & usable energyDefined from the equipment voltage window, duty cycle and reserve.
Continuous currentBased on traction, steering, sensing, computing and sustained implement loads.
Peak current & durationBased on acceleration, turning, slope climbing, soft-soil recovery and implement or pump startup.
Charging interfaceCharger or source voltage, current, connector and available recharge window.
BMS & communicationProtection, SOC, alarms, logging and host protocol as required.
Environmentdust, mud, water, vibration, heat, cold, chemicals and washdown.
Mechanical interfaceEnclosure, mounting, connector, cable, handling and service method.
Customization noteNo fixed reference configuration is published yet. Voltage, capacity, continuous and peak current, charging, BMS logic, communication, protection rating and mechanical interfaces can be customized for the target equipment. Final specifications are subject to the approved project definition.

VALIDATION & PRODUCTION READINESS

Validate the Complete Farm Robot Duty Cycle

Prototype validation should reproduce representative terrain, payload, turns, implement cycles, communication, low-SOC return and charging or swap, including low-SOC operation, charging and the defined environmental boundary.

01

Prototype Verification

Electrical behavior, BMS logic, charging, communication and mechanical fit are checked against the agreed definition.

02

Application Testing

Environmental, load, runtime or interface tests are selected around the actual product risk and use conditions.

03

Certification Management

Applicable transport and market evidence is planned and coordinated for the final configuration.

04

Production Release

Approved specifications, quality criteria, test requirements and inspection reporting support controlled handoff.
