Security, Tracking & Emergency

Custom Access Control Battery Solutions

Stellova develops door access battery systems and security access backup power solutions around lock actuation, controller and reader loads, standby duration, outage response, charging architecture and the available installation space.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Lock Type and Door-cycle Demand Define Backup Power

Access-control loads vary with magnetic locks, strikes, readers, controllers and network equipment. Fail-safe or fail-secure behaviour changes both the energy model and the safety response.

WHAT TO DEFINE

Inputs for the First Access Control Battery Review

Early estimates are acceptable. Missing values can be refined through the requirements process.

01

Operating workflow

Normal monitoring, credential reading, door release, repeated traffic, alarm condition, mains outage and restoration.

02

Electrical loads

Controllers, readers, magnetic locks or strikes, relays, network devices and sensors.

03

Autonomy and charging

Required outage hours, expected door cycles, security state, recharge window and reserve.

04

Integration and environment

System voltage, charger, cabinet, terminals, fire-alarm interface, temperature and service access.

ENGINEERING CONSIDERATIONS

Door Hardware and Emergency Logic Must Be Engineered Together

Continuous lock current, release pulses and emergency release requirements must be separated before the battery and protection strategy are fixed.

01

Energy model

Build usable energy from the complete operating sequence, duty cycle and reserve.

02

Peak-event verification

Define lock or strike actuation, multiple simultaneous doors, relays and network startup with current, duration, recovery and temperature rise.

03

System coordination

Coordinate the battery, BMS, charger, host controls and controlled shutdown or fault response.

04

Environmental boundary

Validate indoor or outdoor temperature, enclosure, ingress, wiring and maintenance conditions before assigning operating limits.

PROJECT-SPECIFIC BATTERY DEFINITION

Parameters Defined From the Access Control Operating Profile

No fixed reference configuration is published yet. Voltage, capacity, continuous and peak current, charging, BMS logic, communication, protection rating and mechanical interfaces can be customized for the target equipment. Final specifications are subject to the approved project definition.

Project parameterHow it is defined
System voltage & usable energyDefined from the equipment voltage window, duty cycle and reserve.
Continuous currentBased on controllers, readers, networking and continuously energized locks.
Peak current & durationBased on lock or strike actuation, multiple simultaneous doors, relays and network startup.
Charging interfaceCharger or source voltage, current, connector and available recharge window.
BMS & communicationProtection, SOC, alarms, logging and host protocol as required.
Environmentindoor or outdoor temperature, enclosure, ingress, wiring and maintenance conditions.
Mechanical interfaceEnclosure, mounting, connector, cable, handling and service method.
Customization noteNo fixed reference configuration is published yet. Voltage, capacity, continuous and peak current, charging, BMS logic, communication, protection rating and mechanical interfaces can be customized for the target equipment. Final specifications are subject to the approved project definition.

VALIDATION & PRODUCTION READINESS

Validate the Complete Access Control Duty Cycle

Prototype validation should reproduce mains loss, repeated access cycles, simultaneous releases, emergency logic, low-SOC response and recharge, including low-SOC operation, charging and the defined environmental boundary.

01

Prototype Verification

Electrical behavior, BMS logic, charging, communication and mechanical fit are checked against the agreed definition.

02

Application Testing

Environmental, load, runtime or interface tests are selected around the actual product risk and use conditions.

03

Certification Management

Applicable transport and market evidence is planned and coordinated for the final configuration.

04

Production Release

Approved specifications, quality criteria, test requirements and inspection reporting support controlled handoff.
