Operating workflow
Parked standby, ignition events, GNSS fixes, periodic reporting, tamper alarm, tow detection and host-power loss operation.
Security, Tracking & Emergency
Custom vehicle tracker battery systems engineered around vehicle standby backup, GNSS and cellular activity, temperature exposure, vibration and reliable reporting when vehicle power is absent.
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
A vehicle tracker battery must maintain positioning, event logging and communications when the host supply is unavailable while tolerating cabin or equipment-bay temperature and vibration.
WHAT TO DEFINE
Early estimates are acceptable. Missing values can be refined through the requirements process.
Parked standby, ignition events, GNSS fixes, periodic reporting, tamper alarm, tow detection and host-power loss operation.
Tracker electronics, GNSS, accelerometer, processor and cellular or telematics modem.
Required backup hours or days, reporting interval during power loss, recharge from the vehicle and reserve.
Vehicle voltage interface, mounting, connector, temperature, vibration, transient isolation and service access.
ENGINEERING CONSIDERATIONS
The reporting interval often changes after host-power loss. That event logic must be included in capacity, peak-current and low-SOC calculations.
Build usable energy from the complete operating sequence, duty cycle and reserve.
Define modem registration, transmission, GNSS reacquisition and alarm events with current, duration, recovery and temperature rise.
Coordinate the battery, BMS, charger, host controls and controlled shutdown or fault response.
Validate vehicle temperature, vibration, storage, ingress and electrical transient conditions before assigning operating limits.
PROJECT-SPECIFIC BATTERY DEFINITION
No fixed reference configuration is published yet. Voltage, capacity, continuous and peak current, charging, BMS logic, communication, protection rating and mechanical interfaces can be customized for the target equipment. Final specifications are subject to the approved project definition.
VALIDATION & PRODUCTION READINESS
Prototype validation should reproduce vehicle-power loss, wake and report cycles, tamper events, low-temperature starts and recharge recovery, including low-SOC operation, charging and the defined environmental boundary.
Electrical behavior, BMS logic, charging, communication and mechanical fit are checked against the agreed definition.
Environmental, load, runtime or interface tests are selected around the actual product risk and use conditions.
Applicable transport and market evidence is planned and coordinated for the final configuration.
Approved specifications, quality criteria, test requirements and inspection reporting support controlled handoff.
