Test, Measurement & Laboratory

Custom Portable Analyzer Battery Solutions

Custom battery systems for portable analyzers, engineered around measurement duty, sensor warm-up, pumps or sampling loads, display and communications, field runtime and stable power.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Measurement Sequence and Sampling Loads Define the Battery

Portable analyzers may combine sensors, heaters, pumps, valves, processors, displays and wireless transmission. The battery must support the complete test sequence, not only the instrument standby current.

WHAT TO DEFINE

Inputs for the First Portable Analyzer Battery Review

Early estimates are acceptable. Missing values can be refined through the requirements process.

01

Measurement sequence

Warm-up, sampling, analysis, purge, display, data transfer and standby duration. Load profile | Continuous demand, heater or pump peaks, pulse duration and acceptable voltage drop. Field workflow | Tests per shift, runtime target, charging opportunities, reserve and battery replacement method. Integration | Available envelope, connector, charger, communication, temperature, dust or moisture exposure and transport market.

ENGINEERING CONSIDERATIONS

Stable Supply and Repeatable Test Cycles Must Be Verified Together

Voltage sag or premature cutoff during heater, pump or radio activity can interrupt a test and compromise field availability.

01

Test-cycle energy

Calculate energy from complete representative tests and daily test count. Transient loads | Measure heater, pump, valve and transmitter events with duration. Instrument stability | Coordinate voltage window, low-battery indication and controlled shutdown with the analyzer. Field environment | Define temperature, vibration, ingress and charging conditions before assigning limits.

PROJECT-SPECIFIC BATTERY DEFINITION

Parameters Defined From the Analyzer Test Cycle

No fixed reference configuration is published yet. Voltage, capacity, continuous and peak current, charging, BMS logic, communication, protection rating and mechanical interfaces can be customized for the target equipment. Final specifications are subject to the approved project definition.

Project parameterHow it is defined
System voltage & usable energyDefined from the analyzer voltage window, tests per shift and reserve. Continuous current | Based on measurement, processing, display and communication loads. Peak current & duration | Based on heater, pump, valve, startup or radio events. Charge interface | Charger voltage, current, connector and recharge window. BMS & status | Protection, state indication and host communication as required. Environment | Temperature, vibration, dust, moisture and storage conditions. Mechanical interface | Enclosure, mounting, connector, cable and service method. Customization note | No fixed reference configuration is published yet. Voltage, capacity, continuous and peak current, charging, BMS logic, communication, protection rating and mechanical interfaces can be customized for the target equipment. Final specifications are subject to the approved project definition.

VALIDATION & PRODUCTION READINESS

Validate Complete Tests, Not Only a Static Load

Prototype testing should reproduce warm-up, sampling, analysis, purge, data transmission, low-SOC operation and charging under representative field conditions.

01

Prototype Verification

Electrical behavior, BMS logic, charging, communication and mechanical fit are checked against the agreed definition.

02

Application Testing

Environmental, load, runtime or interface tests are selected around the actual product risk and use conditions.

03

Certification Management

Applicable transport and market evidence is planned and coordinated for the final configuration.

04

Production Release

Approved specifications, quality criteria, test requirements and inspection reporting support controlled handoff.
