Test, Measurement & Laboratory

Custom Field Test Equipment Battery Solutions

Stellova develops portable field tester battery systems and custom battery solutions for test equipment around measurement workflow, instrument load states, runtime targets, charging access, connector requirements and field operating conditions.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Field Runtime and Instrument Stability Define the Battery

A field instrument battery must support the complete measurement cycle, screen, processor, sensors, data transmission and startup events while remaining compatible with the enclosure, charger and service procedure.

WHAT TO DEFINE

Key Inputs for the First Engineering Review

Early estimates are acceptable. Missing values can be refined through the requirements process.

01

Instrument load

Measurement, processing, display, communication, startup and standby current across the work cycle. Field runtime | Operating hours, duty pattern, reserve and charging opportunities between assignments. Mechanical integration | Battery space, connector, cable, mounting, removal and instrument balance. Environment and compliance | Temperature, vibration, dust or moisture exposure, transport and destination-market requirements.

ENGINEERING CONSIDERATIONS

Stable Power Matters as Much as Runtime

Voltage stability, current transients, low-battery signalling and charger behaviour can affect instrument availability and measurement continuity.

01

Chemistry & Cell Selection

Select the chemistry and cell format around energy, power, cycle life, temperature, safety and supply continuity.

02

Electrical & BMS Architecture

Coordinate series/parallel configuration, protection logic, sensing, SOC/SOH, charging and communication.

03

Mechanical & Environmental Design

Develop pack layout, enclosure, mounting, connectors, sealing, thermal approach and service access.

04

Prototype & Compliance Planning

Define the samples, tests, documentation and certification route needed before production release.

REFERENCE CONFIGURATION

Field Test Equipment Battery Reference Configuration

This configuration is a project reference, not a fixed stock product. Unknown values are shown as /.

Project parameterHow it is defined
ModelST-FT-12-5.2 Nominal voltage | 12 V Rated capacity | 1.2–5.2 Ah Nominal energy | 14.4–62.4 Wh Charge voltage | / Maximum charge current | 2 A Continuous discharge current | 5 A Peak discharge current | / Communication | / Protection rating | / Customization note | This is a project-reference configuration rather than a fixed catalogue product. Voltage, capacity, charge and discharge current, BMS logic, communication, protection rating, connector and mechanical interfaces can be customized. Final specifications are subject to the approved instrument and project definition.

VALIDATION & PRODUCTION READINESS

Verify the Complete Measurement Duty Cycle

Testing should reproduce measurement, display, communication, startup, standby, low-battery indication and charging with the target instrument.

01

Prototype Verification

Electrical behavior, BMS logic, charging, communication and mechanical fit are checked against the agreed definition.

02

Application Testing

Environmental, load, runtime or interface tests are selected around the actual product risk and use conditions.

03

Certification Management

Applicable transport and market evidence is planned and coordinated for the final configuration.

04

Production Release

Approved specifications, quality criteria, test requirements and inspection reporting support controlled handoff.
