Marine & Watercraft

Custom Electric Boat Battery Solutions

Custom electric boat battery pack solutions engineered around propulsion power, auxiliary loads, cruising profile, peak manoeuvring current, charging source, thermal management and the marine installation environment.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Propulsion Duty and Vessel Integration Define the Battery

Electric propulsion requires a verified speed and range profile, current demand, reserve strategy and charging source. Water exposure, vibration, corrosion, compartment conditions and emergency isolation must be considered with the electrical architecture.

WHAT TO DEFINE

Key Inputs for the First Engineering Review

Early estimates are acceptable. Missing values can be refined through the requirements process.

01

Vessel mission

Hull and propulsion type, speed profile, operating hours, payload, route and reserve. Propulsion demand | Continuous power, peak current, pulse duration, voltage window and low-SOC behaviour. Charging source | Shore charger, onboard charger, solar or generator limits, recharge window and connector. Marine installation | Compartment, mounting, ventilation, water and salt exposure, isolation, cabling, CAN and service access.

ENGINEERING CONSIDERATIONS

Propulsion, Charging and Marine Safety Form One System

The battery cannot be qualified independently of the motor controller, charger, vessel wiring, isolation strategy and installation environment.

01

Chemistry & Cell Selection

Select the chemistry and cell format around energy, power, cycle life, temperature, safety and supply continuity.

02

Electrical & BMS Architecture

Coordinate series/parallel configuration, protection logic, sensing, SOC/SOH, charging and communication.

03

Mechanical & Environmental Design

Develop pack layout, enclosure, mounting, connectors, sealing, thermal approach and service access.

04

Prototype & Compliance Planning

Define the samples, tests, documentation and certification route needed before production release.

REFERENCE CONFIGURATIONS

Electric Boat Battery Reference Configurations

These configurations are project references, not universal marine products. Final current, protection and installation requirements depend on the vessel.

Voltage, capacity, charge and discharge current, BMS logic, communication, protection rating, isolation and mechanical interfaces can be customized. Final specifications are subject to the approved vessel and project definition.

VALIDATION & PRODUCTION READINESS

Validate the Battery as Part of the Vessel

Testing should cover propulsion load, low-SOC operation, charger behaviour, isolation, thermal response, vibration and the defined water and salt exposure.

01

Prototype Verification

Electrical behavior, BMS logic, charging, communication and mechanical fit are checked against the agreed definition.

02

Application Testing

Environmental, load, runtime or interface tests are selected around the actual product risk and use conditions.

03

Certification Management

Applicable transport and market evidence is planned and coordinated for the final configuration.

04

Production Release

Approved specifications, quality criteria, test requirements and inspection reporting support controlled handoff.
